Assistant Forwarder Italian/English

For a logistics company in Antwerp, we are looking for an Assistant Forwarder who is fluent in Italian and English. You are responsible for incoming orders and process them in the company’s proprietary software. You check all data and when additional information is needed you contact the customer without hesitation. Furthermore, your duties consist of:

• Place bookings with shipping companies and/or transporters
• Follow-up of customs formalities and preparation of necessary documentation such as BLs
• Act as first point of contact for the customer
• In case of problems you solve them in consultation with the customer

Who are we looking for:

• You have at least a secondary school diploma
• You live in the province of Antwerp
• Experience is not necessary, but a strong interest in logistics is required
• You speak and write fluently Italian & English, Dutch is a plus
• You are punctual, proactive and work accurately
• You are very customer friendly
• You are a team player but can work independently
• A good knowledge of MS Office is required
